February 2, 2012 - Governor Rick Scott and the Florida House of Representatives have both submitted budgets that boost spending for the Florida Highway Patrol. Scott and House leaders have included a significant increase in appropriations for the purchase of new pursuit vehicles, as well as funding for communications and mobile data terminals (MDTs). No positions within the division were cut, despite a reduction of some 4,700 positions spread across other state agencies!
